An international Erasmus Staff Training Week
The University of Thessaly hosted its 9th International Staff Week, which took place from July 6th to July 10th, 2026, in Volos, Greece.
UTH warmly welcomed staff members interested in visiting the University of Thessaly and becoming familiar with its academic and administrative practices within the framework of this Erasmus Staff Training Week. This event is considered to be an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge, promote internationalization, and further strengthen our institutional partnerships through in-person interaction.
During these five days, participants had the opportunity to share best practices, interact with representatives from European and international universities, present their own institutions, and gain insights into exchange programmes.
The opportunity to present EU-DRIVE
On 8 July 2026, the Center for European Projects of the University of Thessaly had the opportunity to present the EU-DRIVE (European Upskilling in Disaster Resilience and Innovation in Vocational Excellence) project to 30 participants during the 9th Erasmus Staff Week.
The presentation introduced participants from higher education institutions across Europe to EU-DRIVE's vision of strengthening vocational excellence in Disaster Risk Management (DRM), civil protection, and climate resilience. The event provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, showcase the project's objectives and expected impact, and foster new connections within the international academic community.
